Heritage League
Welcome Home Honors Program
For years, the Heritage League (HL) has maintained detailed records of those from the 2nd Air Division who are listed on Walls of the Missing at the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) overseas cemeteries, thanks to HL researcher and past president Brian Mahoney.
The US Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) works with the families of MIAs to perform DNA analysis on remains recently discovered. Once identified, the family can finally welcome their veteran home for a burial. The ABMC places a bronze Rosette next to his name on the Wall of the Missing.
